Track Night in America believes in lowering the barriers and helping as many drivers as possible have great experiences on track. In some instances we have to operate under additional rules imposed by the facilities we use. Some tracks have stricter helmet requirements, others have special considerations for convertible top vehicles. Track Night in America has not banned electric vehicles, but there are some facilities that are not ready when it comes to emergency response involving electric vehicles. The good news is that the tides are changing and tracks are beginning to take electric vehicles into consideration when handling emergency response training and equipment.

I think it's up to the event host. Just at a HPDE at BIR and there was a performance model 3 that did just fine but I see SCCA doesn't allow them to register for the Track Night America there in August--clearly not the location's decision in this case. Could be due to the unique fire containment hazards the batteries pose  and subsequent emergency response teams/gear needed, but I can't say for sure. Reach out to the SCCA folks in the Land O'Lakes region. Emily Jenkins is very responsive. They also say masks are required but I can say for sure there were very few masked people in May and I bet it'll be even fewer now that the state mandate is lifted!

Are Tesla’s really not allowed at all? Is this a DCTC issue? Or Track Night? I have a Model 3 I plan on tracking
