Registration Open for Kansas Targa Heartland

TOPEKA, Kan. (July 5, 2017) -- Registration is open for another SCCA® Targa event this year, Targa Heartland. Taking place August 5-6 in Topeka, Kansas, Targa Heartland is a multi-discipline event which gives automotive enthusiasts a chance to sample many of the programs SCCA offers in a low-pressure, highly-social environment.

Heartland Park Topeka will be the hub for Targa Heartland events over two days. The adventure begins Friday evening, August 4, with Check-in/Tech open for participants.  Check-in/Tech can also be accomplished Saturday morning prior to the day’s first activity, an autocross before lunch.  After lunch, the day continues with a Performance Driving Experience before the evening’s social gathering. Sunday morning, Targa Heartland continues with a breakfast RoadRally, followed by another Performance Driving Experience prior to lunch.  The event then concludes with an afternoon RallyCross or autocross (participant’s choice) and a trophy presentation.

The entry fee for Targa Heartland is $295 per team and includes car numbers, class designations, a sticker package, access to Saturday’s dinner and an event T-shirt.  The entry cap for this event is set at 25 teams.  Each team must have at least two drivers over 14 years old, one of which must have a driver’s license.  There is no max to the number of participants within a team.  SCCA membership is a prerequisite, but no competition/track licensing is required.  Teams may enter in an Experiential Class (Novice/Intermediate/Advanced) and run for fun, or may choose a Competition Class.  Learn more at the Targa Ways to Play webpage.

Reserve your spot now for the first ever Targa Heartland and get ready to have some fun with cars August 5-6 in Topeka, Kansas.
