Support Your Local Racetrack - Use It or Lose It

Ya know, race circuits aren’t just for SCCA Track Night in America Driven by Tire Rack events. No sir, these magnificent facilities are a cornucopia of many intriguing activities for automotive enthusiasts much of the year.

Racetracks are part of a community same as batting cages, bowling lanes, skating rinks or golf courses. They were built for folks to USE! Okay, maybe racecourses aren’t EXACTLY the same as those other entertainment outlets, but you get our drift. And while thousands of you experienced on-track fun for the first time this year through SCCA Track Night in America, keep in mind there’s a lot of other fun to be had at these circuits, too.

Local competitors involved with the Sports Car Club of America frequently hold weekend races at local tracks, events that are great for families. Grab a cooler, pack a picnic and bring the kids out for a unique experience. And don’t forget a football, soccer ball or Frisbee because a lot of racetracks have plenty of room for kids to get lots of exercise. Ticket prices are usually pretty darn cheap for spectators attending local amateur races -- so invite along neighbors, friends or co-workers to make it a party.
