• Assess damage and injury involved.
  • Make sure person(s) involved are being responded to appropriately.
  • Notify Program Lead and SCCA Director of Experiential Programs (Heyward). If he is not available, then work down the list of Jenny, Jon, Eric or India as needed.
  • Take pictures of scene, and make notes about what happened.
  • Make sure everyone knows not to discuss condition of person(s) over the radio.
  • Speak to person(s) involved, make sure they are OK.
  • Incident reports must be filled out for incidents resulting in damage from car contact with another car or object, or any incident which involves injury.
  • Fill out incident report. The goal of the incident report is to capture the facts of the incident. Incident report shall be only describe what exactly what happened, no speculation or judgement.
  • Fill out SCCA Insurance Card (Green Card) and give to those involved.
  • Secure waiver sheet with involved parties’
  • Send incident report to National Office with Waivers/Tech Forms include any notes/pictures you have.


    There are many tracks which charge for damage caused to facilities - guard rails, grass, tire barries, asphalt, etc. If this comes up - the SCCA should be invoiced for damage from an incident.
