Charlotte Motor Speedway
Concord, NC 28027
Charlotte Motor Speedway, built in 1959, sits just 13 miles from Charlotte, NC and just outside the I-485 beltway in the heart of what has become home to much of the motorsports industry.
Home of three NASCAR races - including a 600-mile and All-Star races each May, Charlotte Motor Speedway has also hosted IMSA, Trans Am, and IndyCar races and is one of the countries most historic racetracks.
At the world-famous facility, there is a 2.25-mile road course which encorporates much of the oval and is used for SCCA races and driver training. This layout is where Track Night of America will take place.
When you arrive – you will drive in the main entrance at the intersection of Bruton Smith Blvd and Highway 29. When you get on the grounds, turn left and come all the way around the back of the track to Gate 26 – sign the track waiver and come in.
Track Touring Laps: After going through the tunnel, you will go past a painted traffic circle – please park in the lot on the other side of that circle. You may walk down to the “Xfinity” Garages to check in and sign the SCCA waiver, and then socialize and hang out until it is time to go on track.
Track Night in America KONI Novice/Intermediate/Advanced Drivers: After entering the track through the tunnel, come left and go through a gate, past a Bojangles (sorry, it’s not open) and through another gate into the “Xfinity” garage area. There is no sign, but that's the name... Garages are open to use, but on a first-come first serve. Please leave the area forward of the “GRID” sign open for, well… grid.
Check in will be in garage #1.
We are allowing passing on the oval: with one major procedure point: The car being passed will stay in the inside (left) lane and the passing car will go by on the right. These passes will still all be with a point-by.
