Very interested in going to this event as my first track day, however schedule conflicts might prevent me from going. Will there be more VIR TNIA events added later on? I recall last year there was a quite a few more events listed on the calendar than this year. Thanks

    James Vincent Rodatus

We will be there on August 8th.

    So Group B would run at 10:00, 12:20, 3:20, 5:40 correct?

    Justin Barbry

That is what we are aiming for. There will be a lot of paddock activity to check out in between sessions as well as having a chance to get out and spectate the TT groups from different parts of the track.

    Steve G.

This format is a little confusing to me. I usually run in the intermediate group and not really interested in the time trials. What are my options here?

    Steve

    Justin Barbry

Hey Steve, I think with your participation history this might be an opportunity to try Group B which is similar to the Track Night Advanced Group. While point-bys in that group are acceptable anywhere it is still up to the car in front to be comfortable before giving that point-by. At VIR the turn complexes are technical enough and the straightaways long enough that most Advanced drivers, in my opinion, are most comfortable in giving and receiving point-bys in the normal places where you would feel the same. In any case, these Track Event groups are not cemented for you at registration. If you find yourself potentially in the wrong group at the event we can facilitate a change.
