Daytona International Speedway is a race track in Daytona Beach, Florida. Since opening in 1959, it has been the home of the Daytona 500, the most prestigious race in NASCAR. In addition to NASCAR, the track also hosts races of ARCA, AMA Superbike, USCC, SCCA, and Motocross. The track features multiple layouts including the primary 2.5-mile (4.0 km) high-speed tri-oval, a 3.56-mile (5.73 km) sports car course, a 2.95-mile (4.75 km) motorcycle course, and a 1,320-foot (400 m) karting and motorcycle flat-track.

Track Nighters will enter and check in at Gate 40- after check-in participants may head to the parking area adjacent to the International Horseshoe marked as Track Night Paddock on the map.

When you arrive at gate 40, look for the Grassroots Motorsports pop-up tent, bring your helmet and tech sheet and come see us. If you do not have a tech sheet, one will be provided for you.

After you are checked in, you will head into the Speedway, and we will paddock adjacent to the International Horseshoe Stands. Please allow enough time to get checked-in, to your paddock location and prepared for your driver's meeting.

Grid will be on the Truck Pad. For each session we will make a PA call for drivers to come to the grid, so you may return to paddock between sessions, mingle or watch other drivers on track.

Anybody know how to see if the track tours have been cancelled or not due to rain?

    Eddie M.

I usually trailer the car to events but I'm only about 30 minutes away and since it's in the evening probably don't need to worry about getting out of the sun as much. Debating whether to just drive over or not. Any recommendations on this from those who have attended?

    Kevin Van Meier

Kathleen Barnes: I replied to my question about registering with the following response:  "Ken, the cancellation has been done."  What cancellation are you referring to?  I'm driving on Oct 21 at Daytona.  I am bringing a guest.  There are multiple references around the Track Tour portion of the event and I'm trying to find out if I need to also register for the Track Tour portion, and if so, how.  There is NO information on the website explaining how to register to drive during the Track Tour laps if I am also registered to drive during Track Night.   Please let me know what you mean by "... the cancellation has been done."  I'm assuming this does not apply to me because my name is not Ken and I paid for and absolutely plan on driving during Track Night.  Thank you for clarifying.  Kevin

Kevin, if you are already registered in Novice, Intermediate or Advanced you do not need to also register for Tour Laps. The Track Tour laps are open to everyone wearing a Track Night wristband. If you have guests planning to ride in your car, they will need to go sign in and get a TNiA wristband too.
