This is from the Track Night Rules:
Other than Touring Laps, passengers are no longer allowed at Track Night in America Events.
What's the Fact, Jack?
Generally, there are only two reasons for a passenger. Either to show how it's done, or to show how you do it. Whichever way it is, we do not feel like "showing" from inside the car is appropriate at a Track Night event.
Hello,
We are registered to drive on Friday night in Fontana. We had invited friends to passenger, but now it looks like the rules have changed and passengers are no longer allowed. We had checked a few weeks ago and it said that passengers WERE allowed. My friends have gotten off work to participate, so now what???
Many thanks,
Theodore Garland
P.S. - I just checked here again 2019_SCCA_Track_Event_Rules.pdf. It says:
"4.2. Guests as Passengers
Event officials may allow other drivers and guests as passengers. Passengers must have
safety equipment equal to or better than the driver."
