The weather for this event isn't looking great, but it's still early.  Where is the "novice paddock" at Palmer?  Will the novice meetings be inside or out?  I saw on Palmer's site that you can rent a carport or a garage for $20.  Would that make it difficult to make the meetings?  It's my first time at Palmer.

We've not been particularly strict about a novice paddock, simply because so much of the track is walk-able.

Novice meetings will be under the big white tent next to Buster's food truck (smells so good...) Closest spots are to park on the lower level just in front of the main classroom/building just across the paddock road (driver's left as you drive toward pit lane) or you can park up on the second level next to the stairs that lead directly to the tent.

    See you there!

    Greg Amy

The carports are on the very far end of the paddock, toward pit-in and away from the meeting tent, so it's 1/8th mile or so to the tent. The garages are about 100 yards on the other side of the tent, so not too bad a walk.

Are we running clockwise or counter clockwise?

    Greg Amy

Standard direction: counterclockwise, left out of paddock into pit lane.

Is there any place at Palmer Motorsports Park to rent a certified helmet for a track day?
