Each year\, VIR draws tens of thousa nds of spectators for some of the best road racing in the country. Its u phill Esses and sharp elevation changes not only make it a fan and drive r favorite but have also established it as a prominent testing facility  for the automotive industry.\n \nTRACK SPECIFIC RULES  \n\nAn SA2015 or SA2020 helmet is required for this event. No other helmets will be permi tted. \nAll convertible vehicles must be equipped with an appropriate ro ll bar for this event. Note from VIR: Many manufacturers’ roll hoops\, r oll bars designed for street use (non-racing)\, as well as roll bars tha t terminate below the top of the operator’s helmet\, shall not be approv ed. Factory or aftermarket hardtops are not considered to be rollover pr otection. \nLike all Track Nights\, this is an event for streetcars. If you have a waiver from Jack Track to bring a car that is not a streetcar or legally plated kit car\, the track has additional safety requirement s that the driver must wear a one-piece SFI or FIA-rated driver's suit w ith a minimum of two layers. \n\n \nEVENT FORMATFor this Track Event the sessions will be split into two groups.\nGroup A will be passing anywhe re with a point-by. Only drivers with previous track event experience sh ould register for this group.
