Track Night Staff receive a $25 travel stipend to cover expenses getting to and from the event. At which track(s) are you able to provide staffing without needing any additional travel allowance?

A driver is signed up as a Novice and arrives at the event at 5:00, an hour after the novice meeting. They have never been on track before. What would you do?

Tell them you are sorry, but they missed the window, offer a refund and invite them back next month.Give them a quick once through of the Novice Meeting materials, and send them out on track with the Novices for the next session.Send them to the Novice Coach and ask him/her to make the decision.Offer to drive them around the track a few times to bring them up to speed.

A driver continues to put 2 wheels off on the exit of turn 4. He has been black flagged twice, one more and the rules say his night is done. And, he just did it again. The actual safety risk, in your estimation is minimal. What would you do?

Black flag him, bring him in and excuse him for the night. The rules are clear and he is in violation.Black Flag him and end his session. Have a conversation with him and decide if you will let him out for the final session after talking to him.Wait until the end of his session, find him in the paddock and have a conversation about why this is a problem. Your decision as to whether he can continue or not will be based upon how he responds to the conversation.Ignore it. Clearly he can handle putting two wheels off, he does it every lap, he is having fun, not hurting himself or anyone else, there are more important matters to attend to.

Some one walks up to you at an event and says they are a reporter from a local paper, hands you a card and ask if you can get him on track. What would you do?

See what kind of car he has and give it a once-over tech inspection, if it looks good ask the event manager if we can get him on track.Tell him he missed the novice meeting but you can help him find a good car with a known driver for him to ride along with for a session.Tell that he can do the paced laps and introduce him to some first-time track drivers to get their perspective.Google him to make sure he is legit, if so, introduce him to the event manager.
